Location Details

Address, postcode, what3words, grid reference, coordinates, local authority, parish, ward, county, constituency and census geography for the exact point clicked.

Planning Constraints Summary

An instant check against key designations, showing exactly which apply at that location and how many of the layers checked are relevant.

Buildings and Active Layers

A count of building polygons within a drawn shape, plus a breakdown of every data layer currently active at the clicked location.

Nearby Planning Applications

A live search of planit.org.uk for planning applications close to the point, each opening into full application details.

Comparable Sales and Transport

Average sold prices from Land Registry data for the postcode over the last 12 months, and the nearest stations and bus stops with distances.

Land Registry and Ownership

Title number, area and perimeter for clicked Land Registry polygons, along with company or overseas ownership records where available.

How to Use the Land Insights Pane

  1. Open the map on Maplify.
  2. Search or navigate to the location you want to check.
  3. Click the point or drawn shape on the map.
  4. Review location, constraints, buildings and layer data as it loads into the pane.
  5. Open a nearby planning application, or check comparable sales and transport links.
  6. Save the point as a project to keep this snapshot for later.

Worked Example

A buyer is assessing a plot before making an offer:

  • Clicking the plot reveals it sits partly within Flood Zone 2 and is not in the Green Belt.
  • The pane shows two nearby planning applications, one recently granted for a similar extension next door.
  • Comparable sales data shows an average sold price of £410,000 for the postcode over the last 12 months, helping frame an offer.
